There's a particular kind of thinking-of-you that only happens at Christmas, when the year is nearly done and someone crosses your mind, unprompted, because they mattered to how it went.

This card is unique. Not printed, not mass-produced, It was handmade in a way no two ever come out quite the same. The kind of attention December rarely slows down enough to give anything.

Because some people on your list were never going to get something ordinary.
